"Is there any other kind of chapter in this book other than complex?"
My answer would be "no." I remember a while back you noted Proteus was not the most obscure chapter in the novel. I wondered at the time what you thought was the most obscure chapter but I did have an inkling of what it would be. Now that I am re-reading Ulysses for the third time I believe it to be Oxen Of The Sun. Without spoilers since references abound in Ulysses, I find Oxen of the Sun to "reference" nearly all out of my sphere of reading except for a nod to one very famous author.

When first I read the Hades chapter business about rats celebrating the arrival of "fresh" corpses beneath the burial plinths, I mistakenly thought the celebrants were souls in the Underworld- much in the manner of Achilles and others in Homer's Odyssey. Of course, a closer reading confirms Mr. Delaney's explication, but I'm pretty sure Joyce wouldn't have turned his nose up, death notwithstanding, at any interpretation that fostered the multi-leveled complexity of his prose.

Frank, your impression of the gramophone is brilliant. You cracked me up when I listened to it.

Oxen is by far the most difficult, with Scylla close second (more for its content than language, obscure Shakespeare poetics).
Nausicaa is fairly readable, and so is Ithaca

Also, Penelope is one of the easiest to follow, despite lack of punctuation

Easiest chapters in my opinion? Likely the first chapters of each section which are straight narrative in young, mature, and old phases (according to the Linati schema). When I first went into Ulysses I was in the middle of the second chapter thinking to myself, "Hmmmm, maybe I can read this after all." Boy did Proteus ever startle me. I personally love Ithaca, the twin yin ender to Penelope's yang.

I also loved Frank's impression of the gramophone. Wonderful!

Bloom doesn't strike me as depressed in this episode though - he's endlessly curious, full of ideas (e.g. the gramophone) and he bounces back from every snub he receives.
