Frank Delaney at the American Irish Historical Society
On Monday, April 27th. Frank spoke to a rapt audience of old friends and new at the beautiful townhouse of the American Irish Historical Society. A small reception was planned and prepared by legendary caterer, Andrea Giardino, and featured parsnip cakes, smoked trout on Irish brown bread, and classic, Irish scones with cream and jam. Smooth shots of Irish whiskey fueled the crowd, who enjoyed one another’s company along with Frank’s stories of the value and importance of myth to his books, Ireland, Tipperary and now, Shannon.

I met Frank Delaney and his wife at New Canaan Library. After listening to him tell about his latest book SHANNON I decided I would listen to his recording. I have just finished it. Mr. Delaney has kept me company driving around. I have thoroughly enjoyed the story and brought the CD into my kitchen today as I could not wait to hear what happened Robert.
I thank him for keeping me company and would it is a splendid story.

I grew up in a family of immigrants on both side of my parents extended families. So, story telling is much a part of our family culture.
Frank Delaney is one of the finest contemporary story tellers God has given us.
Not only do I read the books, I then go back and listen to them, since Mr. Delaney's voice is rich and robust. And, his language is magical!
Many thanks for many hours of wonderful characters and stimulating thoughts!
