Shannon is on sale today!
Today, 10 February 2009, sees the publication of my new novel, Shannon. Some may ask, "What's it feel like?" I have a number of answers. Yes, it's a good feeling - of achievement, of a job begun and completed in that most difficult of occupations, writing; but yes, it's also a nervous moment - as it should be, waiting for responses and sales. Two helpful thoughts now ride in: this is my fourth publication date since Ireland, a Novel in 2005; and I'm by now deep, deep into the next book, Blarney, which will appear almost exactly one year from today.
So good luck to Shannon, and to all who read it!
Can't believe this nice Jewish girl from the Bronx could be so enthralled with Irish lore! Thank you Frank Delaney for weaving such wonderful stories.....Just finished Tipperary and can't wait to read Shannon!!

I picked up the book for the titles's sake, since it bore my own last name. Little did I realize what a pleasure awaited me. I can only describe it as a beautiful book. When a book makes you forget about the reading process and you are actually in it, seeing the environment, smelling the scents, and feeling the textures of the story you're reading something special. My brothers and I took a trip to Ireland for the first time two Novembers ago with my aging father. It was a very special time for us. Almost like a "coming home" event. This book was the closest thing to reliving that trip, Thank you, Mr. Delaney.
