Delightful discovery of this podcast!! I studied Joyce's Ulysseys, Portrait, and the short stories so many (sigh) years ago in Hunter College with a Professor Leonard Albert. He was a marvel, and hooked me on Joyce the wordsmith, the sorceror with so many languages and layers of meaning in every phrase...magical! I look forward to all the installments here.. Thank you Mr Delaney...

Good stuff. Nice way to get into Ulysses via the 'greatest hits' of 'annotations' that you'd otherwise have to trawl through a range of critical books to get access to. I'm a bit obsessed with how the 18 episodes each represent a different way of looking at the world. Happy to discuss with anyone who's interested...

Yours is a great service to literature.
I am loving every minute of it.

You have given me and so many others a delicious refuge from the cares of the world. This is a complete joy. Having read Portrait and other short stories in school, many years ago, I was never able to get through Ulysses alone, though I fiercely tried. Thank you so much.
